This saw shares the same body as the DCS576, which has a functionally ergonomic handle design with rubber over-molding to improve user comfort and reduce fatigue. There is an auxiliary handle to the front of the tool that gives better stability and confidence during cuts, and there is an E-Brake system that stops the blade rotation very quickly when the trigger is released.
This particular kit is supplied without any batteries, ideal for those upgrading from the previous generation Flex-Volt saws, or adding to their existing 54V portfolio. The saw does however come with a T-Stak VI deep stackable kit box, which also has plenty of additional room for a charger and couple of batteries.
